In 1964, on vacation in Brazil with playboy Bob Zaguri, Brigitte Bardot discovered Búzios, a charming fishing village north of Rio. Bardot was already a star, and Búzios quickly became what has come to be called “the Brazilian Saint Tropez“, for better and possibly for worse. In his homage, or for services rendered to real estate development, the municipality will erect a life-size bronze statue on the Praia dos Ossos. The following year, she recorded, with delicious pronunciation, Carlos Lyra‘s song “Maria Ninguem”.
