When Isabelle Ithurburu asked him about the family relationships his father had with his grandchildren, it was with particular emotion that David declared:
He was a grandfather who was hyper present when he saw them, hyper present. Not enough for my taste, but that's normal because they started their lives in the United States, so it was complicated to see each other. But when we saw each other, he adored his grandchildren, a kind of passion... He gave a lot of attention so, a very, very good memory.
