Quincy, my dear Quincy, you too have joined the stars and this morning my heart is heavy. With you, life swung, it was jazzy, you were joy and rhythm, you were a genius! Do you remember our parties…? I think that all the neighbors of La Jonchère remember the one I organized for you in July 2000! 150 artists met at home the day after the concert you gave at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. In music, we remade the world until the end of the night! I also remember that fabulous dinner at Véronique and Grégory Peck's to which they had also invited Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie. What a privilege for me! Up there, have you already found Loulou? "He's my god" he would say every time we talked about you. You were mine too… Your music has accompanied our lives, my life. I think of that legendary album, Sinatra at the Sands, in which Frank sings accompanied by Count Basie's orchestra on your arrangements, but of course also of Thriller, Michael Jackson's most fabulous success. I will keep the memory of your sweetness and your smile during our last meeting at your place in Bel Air, in 2019. Life with you was so good. I will miss you so much but please, make the sky swing!
