Prince, from his real name Prince rogers nelson, was an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer and actor. Born June 7, 1958 in Minneapolis and died on April 21, 2016 in Chanhassen, in the Minnesota. Prince started playing music at a young age, and released his first album, titled “For You“, in 1978. He went on to release a series of hit albums throughout the 80s, including “1999” in 1982 and “Purple Rain” in 1984, which was also adapted into a film. With its unique style and mix of musical genres, Prince became one of the most influential artists of his time. During his career, Prince has won numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards, Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Original Song for "Purple Rain“. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Prince was also known for his eccentric personality and innovative approach to music and marketing. He often used stage names, such as “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince"And"TAFKAP“, as well as symbols as a representation of its name. Prince died on April 21, 2016, at the age of 57, of an accidental fentanyl overdose. His death caused great emotion among his fans and was widely covered by the media.
