Many fans made the trip to Versailles this Tuesday July 23 to see the Olympic flame but especially their idol, Patrick Bruel, one of the bearers of the day.
Visibly very moved, the singer speaks of a suspended moment:
I feel very honored to have been able to participate in this magnificent adventure that is the Olympic flame. Like many torchbearers, I was worried at the moment of the torch kiss with the fear that my flame would not ignite. What happened at Versailles today is magnificent! Olympism, for me, is sharing, fraternity, exchange. Values that I share...
We tend to always highlight things that could go wrong. I'm sure it's going to be a great event! This is evidenced by the magical adventure we have just experienced in Versailles. I am proud of my country!
