Perched on the roof of the Grand Palais, Axelle Saint-Cirel, 2023 winner of the Overseas Voices Competition, masterfully performed La Marseillaise. A suspended moment which was one of the most touching of the ceremony.
Axelle Saint-Cirel was born in 1995 in the Paris region. From Guadeloupean parents, she spent part of her childhood in Malaysia before settling in Franche-Comté. She then joined the conservatory of Montbeliard. After several years of musical studies, Axelle Saint-Cirel discovered lyrical singing, collaborated with artists like Anne Paceo, Philippe Hersant or, Camélia Jordana and will sing as part of the production of “Nox "To Jacobo Baboni-Schilingi à Tokyo, New York, Beijing, Shanghai. It integrates the Boulogne Billancourt Higher Pole in 2017, a period during which she will sing for creations at Lebanon with theBeirut Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Notre-Dame de Louaizé. Axelle returns to the prestigious Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris in 2019 in the class of Valérie Guillorit and validates his master's degree with the congratulations of the jury. In February 2023, she won the final of the Lyric singing competition Voix des Outre-meror a Paris. The mezzo-soprano also puts her voice at the service of varied repertoires such as jazz or musicals.
From the top of the roof of the Grand Palais, the career of the little Montbéliardaise has certainly taken on a global dimension! Good luck Axelle…among the elite!
