De Sorrento to Salerno, the Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy, Europe, and undoubtedly the world. Steep mountains descend towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, where according to Homer the hero Odysseus once met the Sirens...
In this landscape worthy of ancient mythology, a narrow, winding and majestic road leads Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, villages perched like eagle's nests between sea and sky. Rest of poets, romantic artists and Hollywood celebrities, the Amalfi Coast enchants tourists today.
Former seat of one of the most powerful maritime republics of Italy, Amalfi has retained much of its old-world charm. Established at the foot of steep cliffs, it is larger than most other towns in the Amalfi Coast and has several lively squares connected by pedestrian streets lined with restaurants and shops.
