As announced this summer, line Renaud inaugurated the “Garden of the Ambassadors – Line Renaud" this Monday. It is now part of the Champs-Élysées garden in the 8th arrondissement of Paris which now bears his name. Touched by this tribute, the former singer, actress and leader of magazines could not hold back her tears.
A garden that bears my name on the most beautiful avenue in the world is a priceless gift. It seems that I am second, after the Queen of England. Normal, she's a queen. (…) I am happy that my name is found in your GPS.
In fact the name of a personality cannot be attributed to a public road Paris at least five years after his death. Line Renaud is therefore one of the rare people to have this honor during his lifetime after Elizabeth II, which has a Flower Market in its name on the'Île de la Cité, or the former king George V, with an avenue renamed in his honor in 1918.
line Renaud was well surrounded to discover this plaque. Muriel Robin, Dany Boon, Claude Chirac, Dominique Besnehard et Brigitte Macron were present.
