Michele Torr, from his real name Michelle Tort, was born on April 7, 1947 in Pertuis Vaucluse. She began her career in 1964 with the release of a 45 rpm “In my arms forget your pain“. She appears in the “photo of the century” taken by Jean-Marie Périer bringing together 46 French “yéyé” stars in April 1966.
In 1978 she released her biggest hit, Take me dancing tonight which will sell more than 600 copies.
Michele Torr had an affair with Christophe, with whom she had a son in 1967, Romen, whom his father refuses to recognize and who suffers from multiple sclerosis. It will be recognized by Jean Vidal, whom she married in 1969, and with whom she had a daughter in 1973, Émilie. Twenty years later, the couple divorced and the singer discovered the 5 million debts that her husband had hidden from her. She marries Jean-Pierre Murzilli in 1995. They divorced in 1997, but later reunited, only to separate definitively in May 2019.
