Eye of the Tiger is a song by the American rock band Survivor. At the request of Sylvester Stallone, it was released on January 1, 1982 for the film Rocky 3 : The eye of the tiger.

It expresses the will to survive and the desire to fight.

It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks. It also won a Grammy Award and was voted Best New Song at the People's Choice Awards. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1982.
