In 1982, the group Survivor made the front page of the hits.
It is at the request of Sylvester Stallone (Rocky III) that the title was composed. A succession of ten electric guitar chords, unleashed frantically with great cymbal hits like so many uppercuts in a ring. The group's flagship song Survivor remains unstoppably effective. Propelled by the film and the looping broadcast of the clip on MTV, “Eye of the Tiger” will become the favorite hit of gyms around the world, all generations and sexes combined.
Sylvester Stallone having given up on the idea of getting the group Queen for the film's song, he finally chose the group Survivor. And so one fine day, returning from the supermarket, Jim Peteric discovers a message on his answering machine from Stallone offering to compose the title song of Rocky III.
