“Bet we still love each other”, Calogero’s new single was released this Friday July 12. It is a duet with a clearly political tone recorded with the famous Franco-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf.
Without waiting for the end of his tour “2024 LOVE Tour” which will end next December, Calogero already announces the next release of a new album in fall 2024. His label Barclay noted:
Inspiration never leaves him. Lately it has intensified. Melodies composed like flashes. And the intense desire to share his new songs with his audience without delay
Moreover, Calogero has just revealed a first extract, “Bet that we still love each other”, recorded with trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf. A title which cannot hide a strong political connotation, proof one is these few sentences extracted from the song:
Together we swore that we would never do what we don't want / If other fervors sing fear to us, we won't sing / If the megaphones divided us, led us towards we don't know what / Together you'll see , we will resist with one voice
