Arielle Dombasle will release her next album in a few weeks and she presents us with the first rather original extract “Barbiconic“. The singer even admits (in the show Télématin) have always identified with the doll Star:
I always identified, like all little girls, with the Barbie doll when I was a child. She was the modern woman par excellence, the first of the feminists. It is the first modern doll for little girls who was a firefighter, secretary, astronaut, lawyer, top model. She plays every sport, she can play every role. She had Kens. (…) It is innovative, it evolves. I had a Barbie collection. The idea of being able to do her hair, cut her hair, I was absolutely delighted. As a child, I loved being called “Barbie doll”. Then I suffered from the eternal reduction “Arielle is the Barbie doll”
