The world of French song is in mourning. Herbert Léonard, died this Sunday, March 2 at the age of 80 from lung cancer. The news was announced by his wife Cléo Léonard. Julie Pietri, who was his partner in the duet “Amoureux fous” in 1983, posted a message on her Instagram account in which she sends her condolences to his family.
It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Herbert Léonard, a talented artist and a great performer. Our duet "Amoureux fous" will forever remain engraved in our hearts and in the history of French song. Herbert, with his unique voice and charisma, touched entire generations. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on and I will cherish the precious memories we shared...
