For her concert at the Accor Arena Paris, Vitaa had invited Slimane to come and sing two songs with her as a duet. Some technicians had opposed his arrival and had made it known. During the concert, this Wednesday, December 4, when the singer arrived, Slimane's microphone was cut off at the beginning of the song. The giant screen, which usually shows close-up images, remained in wide shot for the entire duration of the singer's performance. These technical incidents were apparently deliberately caused by Vitaa's technicians to support their protest at the arrival of the singer, who has been the target of several complaints of sexual harassment.
We signed for Vitaa, not for Slimane. Our job is to put an artist on a pedestal on stage and we don't want to put on a pedestal a guy who is the target of two complaints for sexual assault and harassment, what is more, they were deposited by colleagues (two technicians who worked on the singer's tour), sometimes friends.
