Day/Night Mode

A thought for Maurane (12/11/1960 – 07/05/2018). The day before her death she sang a duet with Typh Barrow in Brussels “La Chanson des vieux amants” by Jacques Brel.

The day before her death, Maurane sang a duet with Typh Barrow at the Iris festival in Brussels. They performed “La chanson des vieux amants” by Jacques Brel. It was a suspended and poignant moment, which left its mark on Maurane’s fans and loved ones.

Maurane and Typh Barrow had a lot of projects in mind. Unfortunately, they will never see the light of day except for this last duet sung by Maurane the day before her death from a heart attack. The day after her death, Typh Barrow posted this video where we can hear this last performance.

I had a lot of projects with her. She wanted to write me texts in French and dreamed of forming a trio of women, a French Destiny's Child as she called it, and going on tour... I was so happy. And I'm so sad

I remember you as a beautiful soul and an immense Artist.
Whole, generous, hypnotic, sensitive, funny.
Thank you for these magical moments. Words are too small.
What a slap. What class.
I'm shaking 💔
