55soon, Kendji Girac will play a young man passionate about boxing who hides his illiteracy in a TV movie about TF1 titled “Champion”. It's a role that is close to the singer's heart and for which he has prepared a lot, including physically. He took boxing lessons and acting lessons. Filming has been taking place since Monday January 31, 2022 in the region of Marseille.

When I was younger, I knew how to read of course but not fast enough to follow the words on the teleprompters to the rhythm of the music when I sang on TV shows.
It was quite embarrassing for me. Today, there are 7,5% of illiterate people in France, for whom letters mean nothing at all. Many are afraid to say it, hide, and through this film I would like to break the codes, advance this cause and make it no longer a taboo subject.
The story
At 24, Zack has all the appearance of a young man feeling good about himself. His secret is well kept. A talented carpenter, he builds treehouses with his father. But his passion is boxing, which he teaches voluntarily. Zack plans to move in with Marjorie when his father suffers a bad fall and falls into a coma. He must face, alone, the head of the small family business. The shortcomings he thought he had overcome resurface, and as a newcomer, Inès, enters his life, his secret risks being revealed at any moment: Zack is illiterate.
