World Rock Day is celebrated every year on July 13 to commemorate the mega concert “Live Aid” which took place on July 13, 1985 simultaneously with London, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sydney and Moscow. The objective of the festival was to raise funds for the Somalia and I'Ethiopia, countries which were going through a serious humanitarian crisis.
