Jacques Delaporte has died. He was the founder of the Grand orchestre du Splendid and author of the hit “La Salsa du démon.”

Known for his work as a musician, Jacques Delaporte was also a film and theater actor. Jacques Delaporte was the founder of the Grand Orchestre du Splendid and a member of the troupe, alongside Michel Blanc, Marie-Anne Chazel, Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, and Josiane Balasko.

Jacques Delaporte, author of the song The Demon's Salsa, died at the age of 78, following an illness, in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine). It is Bruno Moynot, Director of splendid, which announced it on Tuesday, March 18.
