Pavarotti & Friends was a series of benefit concerts organized by the Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti between 1992 and 2003 in his hometown of Modena en Italy. Proceeds from the events were intended for humanitarian causes, including the international aid agency War Child and the United Nations High Commission for refugees. The concerts featured Pavarotti singing with prestigious musical guests. Each concert resulted in the release of a compilation album and a DVD.
In 2001 the concert took place on May 29. The guests present were: Tom Jones, Barry White, George Benson, Anastacia, Deep Purple, Bond and Morcheeba. The event then brought in $3,3 million.
